Décolletage Open Weave Basket

An open-weave, oversized traditional onion basket created to explore a vessel's boundaries through an organic shape that is more form than function. Suggested use as an object or a tablescape display for an offering of fruit or vegetables-- a conversation piece.

Made with round rattan core and meticulously twined by hand, and then reshaped into the final form

Artisan Made: Designed and handcrafted by Erin and Peggy Pollard and a small team of weavers in Maine and New York.

Materials: 100% Rattan Core, an abundant Climbing Palm grown in South East Asia and sourced through local longtime partners.

Color: We use non-toxic, organic, natural dyes and finishes 

Dimensions: Approximately 14”L x 14”T at the widest points

Care: For indoor use. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Avoid water 

Note: Due to the freehand nature of our practice, each basket is one-of-a-kind and may have slight variations in shape and size. We do not use molds - each piece holds the spirit of the maker.
