Remember when things were just built to last? This basket is our tribute to the simple, everyday charm of the 90s made in Maine. We were inspired by the functional style of that decade, which you can see in the gracefully extended handles that give the piece a unique look and make it incredibly easy to carry.
This is a true workhorse: a heavy-duty "lunch box" that’s also perfect for the market, road trips, or as your everyday carrier. Hand-woven from natural rattan that is both lightweight and structured, it’s a beautiful, utilitarian piece made for real life.
Artisan Made: Designed and handcrafted by Erin and Peggy Pollard and a small team of weavers in Maine and New York.
Materials: 100% Rattan Core, an abundant Climbing Palm grown in South East Asia and sourced through local longtime partners.
Color: We use non-toxic, organic natural dyes and finishes approved by the consumer Product Safety Commission. Each piece is finished in our Maine Studio. Enjoy natural color variations from the plant fibers.

Care: For indoor use. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Rattan is a natural and flexible plant fiber. If misshapen during use, firmly mold back into place.
Note: Due to the freehand nature of our practice, each basket is one-of-a-kind and may have slight variations in shape and size. We do not use molds - each piece holds the spirit of the maker.
