An open-weave, oversized traditional onion basket created to explore a vessel's boundaries through an organic shape that is more form than function. Suggested use as an object or a tablescape display for an offering of fruit or vegetables-- a conversation piece.
Named for her wide mouth and somewhat awkwardly melting body.
Made with round rattan core and meticulously twined by hand, and then reshaped into the final form
Artisan Made: Designed and handcrafted by Erin and Peggy Pollard and a small team of weavers in Maine and New York.
Materials: 100% Rattan Core, an abundant Climbing Palm grown in South East Asia and sourced through local longtime partners.
Color: Unfinished natural
Dimensions: Approximately 15”L x 28”T at the widest points
Care: For indoor use. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Avoid water or moisture.
Note: Due to the freehand nature of our practice, each basket is one-of-a-kind and may have slight variations in shape and size. We do not use molds - each piece holds the spirit of the maker.
