Traditional Tobacco baskets were produced for tobacco companies until the late 1960s. The basket is latticed on the base and finished with a large X. The body with wide rattan strips and wrapped handles creates a stunning statement on the wall or in multiples on a table with special objects.

Artisan Made: Designed and handcrafted by Erin and Peggy Pollard and a small team of weavers in Maine and New York.
Note: Due to the freehand nature of our practice, each basket is one-of-a-kind and may vary slightly in shape and size. Each piece holds the maker's spirit.
Materials: 100% Rattan Core, including substantial one-inch rattan for a structural feel. Sourced from an abundant Climbing Palm in Southeast Asia through local longtime partners.
Color: We use non-toxic, organic, natural dyes. Each piece is finished in our Maine Studio. Enjoy natural color variations from the plant fibers.
Care
For indoor use. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Rattan is a natural and flexible plant fiber. If misshapen during use, firmly mold back into place.
